Road to Wimbledon
For 11-14 year olds (or Year 7-9 for schools) and players with a rating of 7.1 or worse – this is a great staged competition.Venues and Venue organisers plan and run their own internal competition for eligible players. The winner qualifies through to the County Finals at Paddington Recreational Grounds with lots of fun competition and prizes.
The ultimate prize for County champions is the opportunity to play a tournament on the Grass Courts at AELTC, home of Wimbledon Championships. This has in the past included access to the Wimbledon Museum, AELTC Player changing rooms and the R2W player party during the week.
County Runners Up are invited to attend a Coach workshop with Dan Bloxham, Head Coach at AELTC and a former pro player at AELTC.
Club registration for Road to Wimbledon will be open in December to End of February.
Players compete in the local regional tournament where qualifiers progress to the International competition playing against the Top 14U players from India, Hong Kong, Japan and China.
Quorn Family Cup
Red Ball (Player Aged 10 & Under + Adult Family member O18)
Venues apply and run a Quorn Family Tennis Cup red ball competition between February and April. The red ball competition usually lasts approximately 2 hours (dependent on number of pairs taking part).
The winners of each red ball competition will earn the opportunity of a day out at a Quorn Family Tennis Cup event held on the qualifying weekend of a LTA grass court major event in June.
Each pair will have the chance to play against other winners on the day as well as watch the professional players in action.

Yellow Ball (Junior player aged 11-17 + Adult Family member O18)
Regional events across the UK took place on Sunday 16 September 2018.
These were a one day, indoor event.
The winners and runners-up from each Regional final will qualified for the National finals which took place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14 October 2018 at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton.
DL Heston hosted Middlesex’s qualifying event, with a full competitive draw – both winners and runners up also managed to do very well at National Finals. With winters James and James Kober runners up nationally and Greg and Leonardo Santoro-Fergusson finishing 5th.
DL Purley qualifiers – Mark and Nathan Bedrossian are also Middlesex based- well done on qualifying for the finals.
Team challenge is organised by a local cluster organiser (e.g. coach, competition organiser, club volunteer) at an LTA Registered Venue. The cluster organiser invites local venues within approximately 30 minutes to take part in a recreational team competition which is held on one day over a 2-3 hour period.
