As part of the LTA's vision Tennis Opened Up, and in partnership with Sport England, the LTA are pleased to announce the first ever female-only LTA Senior Coach course to redress that imbalance.

The course, positioned at Level 4 in the Coach Qualification pathway, prepares candidates for lead and head coach roles in the industry .Coaches are the lifeblood of our tennis and padel industries. They are often players’ first and most consistent point of contact in venues, they influence and shape the places in which they work to create open and welcoming environments, and of course they provide players with enjoyable coaching sessions.

Having a diverse workforce that reflects the tennis-playing population is critical to ensure we continue to open tennis up.

Currently, only 23% of our Accredited Coach workforce is female, and only 17% of our Senior Coaches are female. This course will help to directly address this under-representation by growing the number of female Senior Coaches in Great Britain.

The course will provide more female coaches with the tools they need to become head coaches in venues across the country.

This will provide clubs and programmes with inspirational female role models to grow female participation.

The course will be supported by a team of female LTA Qualification Tutors who have inspirational profiles in the world of tennis playing, coaching, and leadership. For further details and/or to register your interest in the course please get in touch here
