On Friday 13 November, the LTA was announced as the National Governing Body for Padel and the Sport receives official recognition. The application for official status was approved by Sport England, Sport Scotland and Sport Wales, with all three home country sports councils now recognising the sport as a discipline of tennis. This means clubs and local organisations looking to develop Padel will now be able to apply for their funding programmes.
