As you may be aware, Surbiton Racket and Fitness club is host venue to an ATP Challenger and ITF Wimbledon warm up event, the Surbiton Trophy. In previous years we have had the likes of Dan Evans, Nick Kyrgios, Heather Watson and Alex DeMinaur taking part, and last year we had the pleasure of seeing Sir Andy Murray playing in the tournament.  

We would like to invite your club/centre to take part in a unique team event that will be hosted alongside the pro tournament, The Surbiton Junior Team Trophy. The aim of the competition is to run a team tennis event, giving aspiring junior players the opportunity to play alongside the pros and then watch the min action! We’ve had great success with this event in previous years, where players ,parents and coaches have all enjoyed being part of the tournament, creating everlasting moments in their tennis.

The competition is for 9 & under players (born 2014, 2015 & 2016) and 10& under players (born 2013 & 2014). The aim is to have a high standard event for the most committed players, so please invite your best players in those age groups.

Monday5^th June- 9 & under girls event

Tuesday6^th June- 9 & under mixed event (teams can be made up of boys and girls)

Wednesday7^th June- 10 & under mixed event (teams can be made up of boys and girls)

Timings will be confirmed once the closing date has passed, please plan to be here for the whole day as there will be a mixture of on court time and time to watch matches.

Format

Each Team will consist of 4 players, the format for the matches is explained below. The Coach/ Captain can be on court to support their players throughout the event, the aim is to create an amazing tennis festival atmosphere!  

4  v 4 singles

3  v 3 singles

1  & 2 v 1 & 2 doubles 

1  v 1 singles

2  v 2 singles

3  & 4 v 3 & 4 doubles

*One doubles shoot-out to ten points if it's 3-3 in rubbers. Captain can pick two players to compete

How to enter

The cost for entry is £100 per team, this gives access to the grounds to the 4 players plus one parent/ guardian and the coach/captain and the event entry for the team. Any additional spectators will need to purchase tickets using the this link or at the gate on the day.

These details will be used to confirm your entry and provide any further details of the event. Please pay entry fee (£100 per team) via bank transfer to the Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club account: account number 8317 6452,sort code 20-65-82. Please use the payment reference of STT followed by your club/centre name. Entry and payment deadline: 26^th May 2023

Entry numbers are limited and will be taken on a first come first served basis, so please enter and proceed with payment ASAP to ensure your team’s space in the event.
