Get Set 4 Tennis is passionate about inclusive/disability tennis and has achieved so much in a short time and is a deserved winner of the Middlesex and South East LTA Disability Tennis Award.

COVID19 challenged our thinking in terms of how to deliver tennis and retain connections with the players. The unprecedented situation threw up major challenges but also incredible opportunities.

Middlesex Tennis prides itself on the work that takes place on disability and inclusive tennis in the County. This was reflected in the 2019 Awards when 5 of the awards on offer had a disability tennis related theme.

Middlesex Based Andy Lapthorne becomes World Number 1 and Reaches the Finals of the 2020 Australian Open.

Great Britain players, including two players from Middlesex, have completed the 2nd World Deaf Tennis Championships with a tremendous haul of five medals across senior and junior events....

Middlesex & Surrey only counties to offerfull range of disability tennis events ....

Rachel Morgan & Paul Ryb have been chosen to represent Great Britain in the upcoming International Blind Tennis Tournament in Spain.

In March Lily Mills competed in the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi and won two gold medals.  Mark Bullock recently had the opportunity to ask Lily a few questions. 

Six players took part in the Metro Blind Sports B1 Tennis Camp at Islington Tennis Centre on Monday 25th February.

Twenty-six blind and partially sighted players came together on Sunday 17th February 2019 to compete in the Metro Blind Sports tennis tournament at Islington Tennis Centre.

Recently my coaching delivery became truly inclusive as I worked with groups of non-disabled players for the first time for many years.

Tennis can be played by all ages & is a sport where males and females can compete together. Wheelchair users can play against non-disabled players. Visually impaired players can play together or with sighted family and friends.

The biggest highlight of my career so far was winning the 18&U World Deaf Championships in 2015. It was extra special because it was my first title, I was younger than the rest of the opponents and it was held in the UK, Nottingham.

My first session of blind tennis was in January 2016 and I've never looked back since...

I attended a Tennis foundation beginner/junior camp back when I was 10/11 years old. I met my former long-term coach Stuart Wilkinson and went from there.

My first experience with disability tennis was only recently this year, when I after years of thinking about it finally had the opportunity to get on a course run by the LTA at Paddington Rec.
