Middlesex Tennis Launches Performance Foundation

Middlesex Tennis Performance Foundation.

Middlesex Tennis is extremely proud to launch the Middlesex Tennis Performance Foundation, a bold step forward in our mission to support high-potential players on their journey to national and international tennis success. The programme launches now, with our first application window opening in September 2025.

In the last 18 months Middlesex Tennis has enjoyed some outstanding successes. Mika Stojsavjlevic made history as our first US Open 18U Junior Champion, finishing the year ranked No. 4 in the world. Lily Mills represented Great Britain at the Australian Open, and Middlesex juniors excelled across the pathway – from Tennis Europe events, to ITFs, and Junior Wimbledon selections. These achievements reflect the strength of our player development structure and the potential we are committed to nurturing.

“I am so excited about us being able to take the support of our talented players to the next level. We have a big talent pool we want to support in their tennis journey.” Andrew Lewandowski, Tennis Manager

This year we are seeing an impressive list of 9 players featuring across the Wimbledon Championships in the men’s, women’s, junior and wheelchair events. Uniquely, there was three players; Hariet Dart, Ranah Stoiber and Mika starting in the ladies’ singles all of whom have progressed through the Middlesex junior development programme.

It’s so cool that Middlesex Tennis is putting even more support behind young players. Programmes like this make such a difference – and it shows that people believe in you, which honestly means so much.” Mika Stojsavljevic

The Performance Foundation will support players with both exceptional potential and financial need, helping them overcome the growing costs of high-performance training and competition. Awards will be offered across three categories:

  • Junior players (12U-18U) competing at regional or national level
  • Young adults competing on the international stage
  • Disability and inclusion athletes with national or international aspirations

In addition to financial grants, athletes will receive access to subsidised county training, S&C and psychology support, parental guidance, and equipment partnerships.

We can’t wait to welcome the first cohort of Middlesex Performance Foundation athletes.
