Shaping the future of our tennis venues – our clubs and parks - in Middlesex.

Call for Volunteers.

Do you have a passion for ensuring that tennis venues across Middlesex Tennis are the best supported in the country?  

‍

Would you like to assist Middlesex Tennis in achieving its mission ‘to support, promote and drive tennis and padel in Middlesex, ensuring it is safe, enjoyable, accessible and welcoming’ - and to ensure that all our venues across north and west London are getting the support they need from us?

‍

Middlesex Tennis is looking for a range of volunteers from our clubs and parks to provide regular constructive feedback on the support Middlesex Tennis is giving to our venues across the county.

‍

What are we doing well, which areas need improvement, and what other areas of support do our venues need?

‍

Ideally, we are looking for a diverse mix of volunteers – young and older, from across our geography, representing small, medium, and large clubs, and our parks.  

‍

Volunteers would be expected to attend 2-3 evening online meetings a year and to come prepared with their feedback and thoughts. The remit is broad - with key topics covering:

• Increasing support of venues, and venue specific events
• Communications and sharing best practice
• Integrating equality, diversity and inclusion approaches into our venues
• Our initiatives such as Environmental Sustainability, the annual Middlesex Tennis Awards, access to Middlesex Tennis loan scheme for example
• Growing and supporting Padel in Middlesex

Person Specification:

• A passion for tennis and the future of tennis venues in Middlesex
• Knowledge of the needs of tennis venues in Middlesex - now and in the future
• Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to provide constructive feedback and solutions

Timelines:

• Application Deadline: 25th October 2024
• Notification of Appointment: By 8th November 2024
• First Meeting: Wednesday 20th November 2024 from 7.30pm
