LTA announce new 10U Performance Network

Middlesex Tennis Training Centre

Today, the LTA has officially announced the new 10U Performance Network, which will launch in September 2026.

Following a review of its existing 10U Performance Programme model, and an extensive application process, the LTA has officially announced the new 10U Performance Network.

The 10U Performance Network plays a key part of the Regional Performance Stage (aged 7-10) of the LTA Player Pathway. It is designed to increase the number and quality of players who are inspired, informed and ready to meet the demands of the National Performance Stage of the pathway (aged 11-14).

From September 2026, they will have thirty-two programmes across England and Wales. The network will comprise:

  • 19 x 10U Performance Programmes – Enhanced (10U PP-E)
  • 13 x 10U Performance Programmes (10U PP)*.

Middlesex Tennis is delighted to announce that two of our County venues are part of the 19 x 10U Performance Programmes:

These programmes play a vital role in strengthening daily training environments at the Regional Stage of the Player Pathway. But they represent just one part of a much wider player development model. All centres and clubs across the County remain critical to the successful identification, support, and development of young players who progress through the pathway striving to reach and fulfill their potential.

Chief Executive of Middlesex Tennis, Andrew Lewandowski, commented:

“It is exciting news having two 10U Centres selected by the LTA joining a very strong cohort of centres and programmes nationwide. Middlesex Tennis is fully committed and invested to the 10U stage of the pathway led by Stuart Wilkinson (10U Performance Lead) delivering county training, performance camps and international opportunities to our players.”

Middlesex Tennis Chairman, Phil Veasey, commented:

“We are absolutely thrilled that two of our centres have gained this recognition, particularly the MTTC within one year of going live.

This is part of a huge commitment to developing our young players that includes the Performance Foundation that supports our very best competitors, utilising renowned fitness and sports psychology experts – Matt Little and Sam Thrower to work with our children and parents to support players to reach their full potential, and supporting our high quality coaches.

Producing successful county teams and opportunities for some of our players to perform nationally and on the world stage happens because we have the correct system in place. We look forward to seeing their progress over the coming years.”
