A wonderful afternoon at Elmwood Tennis Club to celebrate the Middlesex Winter League Competitions 2025/26 winners.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Winter League Competitions 2025/26 Presentation Afternoon.
By all accounts there were masses of matches affected by the rain and just to carry the theme on it rained on Saturday. Fortunately, that did not dampen the spirits or the attendance figures.

Final Thanks

Becky Prangley, Competitions Co-ordinator commented:
Thank you to Elmwood Tennis Club for hosting this year’s Winter League Celebration event and to all the members who supported in the organisation and set up of the event.
Thank you to all the divisional secretaries who supported the Floodlit league and to Ro Foley for running both the Seniors and Mid-Week Leagues.
A challenge that all teams had in winter 2025/26 leagues was the weather. Teams did exceptionally well at working together to rearrange the matches and at times rearranging a match on multiple occasions. Thank you to all the club team administrators and team captains for all your hard work in organising these matches and sorting out the match arrangements.
The celebration event took place in Volunteers week and these leagues could not run as smoothly as you they do without the support of all the above mentioned. Thank you to all volunteers from Middlesex Tennis!
Winter Leagues 2026/27 will open shortly, and this will be communicated to club administrators and via the Middlesex Memo – they need to sign up to this if they haven’t already!
Congratulations again to all of you!”
Thanks to everyone who attended
