DS Tennis Open 2026

AWARD WINNING TENNIS EVENT for Down’s Syndrome Tennis Players Announces Special Guest Celebrity from BBCs Strictly – Ellie Goldstein.
The third DS Tennis Open will be held on Sunday 26 July 2026 at Thistleworth Lawn Tennis Club, Osterley, London. TW7 5LX
Last year’s tournament won the Middlesex LTA Award for ‘Competition of the Year’ – The award was presented by Roger Taylor and sports broadcaster Marcus Buckland – Coach and Organiser Dan Balfe said – “It’s fantastic to be recognised for championing inclusive Tennis in London – this is a perfect opportunity for sponsors to start getting involved – this year we have a very special guest to present the Winner’s Trophy – Ellie Goldstein – Celebrity Dancer, Model and Actress”.
Charlie Rowley of Brentford is defending his OPEN 2025 Championship title and has already confirmed his place…. Ashley Stewert is back and word on the circuit is Doug and Olly have been training for the top spot… Invites have gone out to Lucy, Sofia and all the players from previous years… it should be a record-breaking year with show biz guests, music and strawberries.
The competition is open to girls and boys of all abilities, teenagers to adults. The event has a unique points system that includes the WARMUP – THE DRILLS and of course the MATCHES…
Coaches are available to help and support all the players. Everyone will have the opportunity to feel like a tennis champion.
DS Active played a massive part broadcasting the event in 2025, we look forward to working with the team again.
