PRO-AM Evening
October 22, 2021
A fantastic afternoon and evening was had at Finchley Manor Tennis Club and Sports Centre on September 25th. Wonderfully organised by club professionals Phil Sikman and Chris Maher alongside the Middlesex Men’s County Cup Captain Mark Tomlinson.
Twenty Club members joined seven of the Middlesex men’s County squad in a program tie-break shootout. Middlesex was represented by:
- Will Jansen
- Tom Drayton
- Louis Quaynor
- Sahej Maker
- Zoltan Csanadi
- Esah Hayat
- Thomas Stanisavljevic
Eight rounds of tiebreaks were played before the Middlesex men went on to play a tie-break shootout. With Sahej and Will Progressing to a fantastic final where Sahej prevailed and became the Inaugural winner of these events.
A fantastic meal was put on by the club where the players and club members socialise together before a short presentation took place with much thanks going to Phil, Chris and The Manor !
October 30th: Doubles PRO-AM
Again filled out the event with 20 club members and 12 Middlesex Pros. Lots of tennis was played with 10 rounds of tie breaks in the pro/am then 11 rounds where the pros all played with each other .
The top 4 played a final rotating partners every 4 points until the winner reached 15 points.

3rd Corina Mirea
4th Ravi Patel
Approximately 40 spectators from the club watched the PRO-AM and then an evening of Salsa dancing post-tennis provided a great club event..
Well done to Finchley Manor's Philip Sikman and Chris Mayer with Mark Tomlinson on putting these events on and looking forward to the Christmas one.
